Federal road maintenance concession company, Roadcare (M) Sdn Bhd, was appointed by UPPJ Selangor to carry out Cold In Place Recycling (CIPR) rehabilitations work for FT 181, Lebuhraya Pulau Indah, Klang.
Overlay alone may not be cost effective to rehabilitate the existing pavements particularly at those sections with deep seated cracks. In view of this, CIPR method was used to solve the problems. The rehabilitation measures taken to treat the distressed pavement were as follows:

The pavement, along section 1.85 - 3.00 (left hand side) and section 1.40 - 2.75 (right hand side) was experiencing various forms of deterioration i.e rutting, potholes and severe cracking.
