17 March 2010, Klang – Works Minister, YB Dato' Shaziman Abu Mansor suggested that recycling method be used for road works as it would reduce treatment cost and produce a more effective result. Datuk Shaziman also agreed to come up with an urgent allocation for the convenience of road users. He added that the current road maintenance level should be at a satisfactory level despite budgetary constraints. The Minister was accompanied by senior officials including Work Ministry’s Secretary-General, Deputy Secretary-General, Public Works Director General, Facility and Road Maintenance Branch Director and Selangor PWD Director. Road concessionaire, Roadcare (M) Sdn Bhd, was represented by Managing Director, Dato’ Ir Hasnur Rabiain Ismail, COO Ir Haji Mhd Najili Sojo and other officials from HQ. |
He made the suggestion here today during a press conference after a visit to ascertain federal road conditions in Klang District. In particular, he visited major roads which act as the pulse for traffic entering Port Klang.
