Protasco Appoints Tan Sri Hadenan A. Jalil as Chairman

Kuala Lumpur, 28 April: In a statement to Bursa Malaysia, Protasco Bhd announced the appointment of YBhg Tan Sri Datuk Dr. Hadenan A. Jalil as its Chairman.

With an illustrious career in the civil service, among others Tan Sri Datuk Dr Hadenan served as the Works Ministry’s Secretary-General from 1999-2000. He was also the Auditor General from 2000-2006.

Tan Sri Hadenan also holds directorships of Malayan Banking Bhd and Maybank Islamic Berhad.

Go For Recycling Method - Works Minister

17 March 2010, Klang – Works Minister, YB Dato' Shaziman Abu Mansor suggested that recycling method be used for road works as it would reduce treatment cost and produce a more effective result.

Minister Visit Roadcare Site WorksHe made the suggestion here today during a press conference after a visit to ascertain federal road conditions in Klang District. In particular, he visited major roads which act as the pulse for traffic entering Port Klang. Among others he visited FT 190 - Jalan Bukit Kemuning, FT 181 - Jalan Pulau Indah and FT 05 - Jalan Klang-Banting.

Versatile Solutions, Mission Accomplished
En Rashid, Head of EngineeringRoadcare (M) Sdn Bhd successfully employed a range of traditional and advanced road solutions in last year’s economic stimulus package projects.

The more technologically-advanced pavement treatment method called Cold In Place Recycling (CIPR) was used for both the Jalan Mak Lagam project in Terengganu and the Jalan Simpang Pelangai project in Pahang.  This solution is more environmentally friendly and cost effective.

The company also employed the more traditional techniques such as Regulate & Overlay, Recon & Overlay, Mill & Pave and Resurfacing for other road works under the economic stimulus projects.
